ROCMeta

My Account Guest

The short version

You need a free account to use the members’ tools — the Combo Generator, the Combo Rater and the Combo Simulator. We store the account details needed to sign you in and the hero IDs in your saved roster, so your selection follows you across devices. Generator matching happens in your browser; ratings and simulated battles are computed on our server. Simulator results are cached by formation, not by who asked, and rating requests are not stored at all. We use analytics cookies, serve no advertising, and email member updates only when you opt in.

Advertising

ROCMeta currently serves no advertising at all. No ad network's script loads on any page, and no advertising cookies are set by us or by an ad network. If advertising is ever introduced to help cover hosting, this policy will be updated first — naming the network and the cookies involved — before the first ad is served.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful (for example, which hero pages get read). It records things like page views, approximate location and device type. It does not identify you personally to us.

The contact form

When you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, the message itself, and your IP address (used only for spam protection). It's emailed to admin@rocmeta.com and used solely to reply to you. It is never sold or shared.

Your account and email preferences

When you register, we store your email address, a securely hashed password, account status and security timestamps. Activation and password-reset links use single-use, expiring tokens; we store only protected token values. If you opt in to ROCMeta member updates, we record that preference on your account. Every marketing email includes a one-click opt-out link that switches the preference off immediately. We never sell account details or maintain a separate public mailing list.

Your hero selection

The heroes you tick in the combo generator are matched against the rankings inside your browser. The IDs in your selected hero roster are also saved to your signed-in account so you can see them on your account page and continue on another device. We do not receive game credentials, hero statistics, equipment, messages or other in-game account information.

There is one exception, and it only happens if you ask for it. If you press Copy share link, that list of heroes is saved on our server — it has to be, because that is what the short link points at. What we store is the hero list and nothing else: no name, no email, no IP address, nothing that identifies you. The link is unlisted rather than secret: anyone holding it can open it, so don't treat it as private.

The Combo Rater

When you score a trio, the three hero IDs are sent to our server, because the scorecard is computed there. When you score a whole roster, the hero IDs on that roster are sent instead. Nothing about a rating request is stored — no result history, no account ID, no IP address, no cache. The score, the eleven checks and the chain sentences are computed, returned to you, and then gone.

The Combo Simulator

When you run a simulated battle, the six hero picks and their troop types are sent to our server, because the battles are computed there. The computed result is kept in a cache so the same matchup answers instantly next time — and that cache is keyed by the formations alone. It stores no account ID, no email and no IP address: there is no record of who asked a matchup, only that it has been computed. The simulator keeps nothing in your browser's local storage.

Local storage

The generator may keep small working preferences in your browser's local storage so the interface feels immediate:

  • Your current hero selection. This local working copy is also synchronised with the saved selection on your signed-in ROCMeta account.
  • Generator preferences. Temporary interface choices, such as the active filters or an army-planning draft, may remain on that device.

You can remove browser copies by clearing your browser data. To change the roster saved to your ROCMeta account, use the generator; the account page deliberately presents it as a view-only reference.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email admin@rocmeta.com and we'll action it.

You do not have to ask us to delete your account — you can do it yourself from your account page, and it takes effect immediately. What deleting your account removes sets out exactly what goes and what is kept.
